Welcome to RonuWeb. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1) Service Description

RonuWeb provides a platform to upload and search files (images, documents, audio and video) using semantic search. Files are stored privately in a cloud object store and are served via time-limited links.

2) Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload, share or otherwise make available any content that:

• infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• is illegal under applicable Nigerian law or other applicable laws;
• contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
• is hateful, harassing, defamatory, or promotes violence or terrorism;
• contains personal or sensitive information without lawful basis or permission;
• involves minors or violates child protection laws.

3) Your Responsibilities

You must have all necessary rights to the content you upload. You are responsible for the content you submit and any consequences of sharing or making it available. We may remove or disable access to content at our discretion for any reason, including legal requests.

4) Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant RonuWeb a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, index and display your content as necessary to provide the service (e.g., generate search results, thumbnails, and text previews).

5) Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on RonuWeb infringes your copyright, please send a takedown request with sufficient detail (your contact, the work claimed, the specific URLs, and a statement you have a good-faith belief of infringement) to our contact below. We will review and take appropriate action.

6) Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable Nigerian data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), and process limited personal data only as necessary for security and service operation.

7) Security and Scanning

We may scan files for malware (e.g., ClamAV) and remove or block harmful files. Scanning reduces—but does not eliminate—risk. You should use up-to-date security tools on your devices.

8) Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for any reason, including suspected violations of these terms, legal requests, or operational concerns.

11) Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes should be resolved in the competent courts of Nigeria unless otherwise required by applicable law.
